Christmas Morning

Here are some photos from Christmas morning. Just Peter and Liberty in these, since they're the only ones who look cute in the morning in PJs!

This shows Peter picking tape off of his mini M&Ms which ended up being a running theme with him. It seemed to drive him crazy if there was any tape left behind and he was even picking tape off of other peoples gifts! Just one of his many "mini Monk" quirks.

He got an Elmo wallet in his stocking and loved it.

Peter had a gift bag that was nearly as tall as he was.

Crawling inside the gift bag to see what's inside...

A mini kitchen set!

A gift for Peter and Liberty to share...

...a wall hanging for their Classic Pooh nursery!

Over 70 pieces of plastic food, plates, cups, and utensils. After having it scattered all over the living room for the past few days, I'm begining to wonder why I ever thought this gift was a good idea?!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve the kids opened pajamas, a tradition from Christi's childhood, to wear on Christmas morning. We gave Liberty the red flannel nightgown (with a matching hat) that Christi wore for her first Christmas. Peter's PJs were made by Christi out of Sesame Street flannel that Peter admired every time he saw it in on the fabric bolt in Hobby Lobby.

Christmas Eve Eve

No, that's not a typo. These pictures are from the eve of Christmas Eve, December 23, when we celebrated Christmas with most of the Parker family. Of course, we have very few pictures of Peter actually looking at the camera since he seems to have some sort of moral objection to having his picture taken. *grin*

Peter's Big Boy Haircut / Liberty's Exersaucer

Although Peter has had a haircut several times already in his young life, tonight he experienced his first "big boy" hair cut and got his hair cut short just like Daddy (which is what we repeatedly mentioned to him in a vain effort to get him to sit still). I have also put up some older pictures including Liberty's first time in the Exersaucer.

After the haircut:

Peter was fascinated by it too since he hadn't seen it in months. Here he was trying to guide Liberty's hand to a toy!
On the way home from Mamaw and Papaw's house at about 10 PM, a very tired Peter managed to open a package of peanut butter crackers and eat half of them before his unsuspecting parents realized what he was doing...

Peter saw Mommy peeling potatoes over the trashcan so he decided to get a potato out of the pantry and try it out himself. I only hope he is this helpful in a few years!
