Peter Laughing

Recently we were watching a movie Willow which featured a Brownie (miniature person) falling into a barrel of beer. For some reason Peter found this absolutely hysterical so we played the scene for him several times and each time he saw it he laughed even harder!

Fourth of July

July 4th was Liberty's first full day home from the hospital and a chance to live up to her patriotic name by dressing up in red, white, and blue!

...with much intensity!

Liberty Elisabeth

Liberty Elisabeth Parker surprised us by arriving 1 1/2 weeks early on July 1, 2009 at 4:45 AM. She weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces and was 19 inches long.

Liberty's first photograph
Daddy trimming the cord. He was unable to actually cut it because it was wrapped around her neck and the doctor had to cut it before she was fully born.

Peter's first glimpse of his new baby sister.
Kiss!

Mr. Cool

We have finally been able to convince Peter to leave things such as sunglasses and hats on his head. Not sure if that is a good thing though, as I suspect the sole reason he permits this is because he knows he looks adorable. (He might have gotten this idea from me...)

Springtime Fun and Cutting Curls

Spring is finally here and Peter is loving being able to run around in his yard! He also received his first official haircut. Several months ago he had his bangs trimmed, but this was the first time he had all of the hair on the top of his head trimmed. This cut was in preparation for his 18-month portrait this week.

Peter continues his big-boy trend of not looking at the camera when photographed...

But I snuck a shot in of him looking in the camera's general direction

To distract him, Peter got to watch Barney during his haircut

It's a girl!

Our ultrasound at about 19 1/2 weeks of our little baby... a girl! :)

Mr. Independent

Peter is learning how to use utensils and feed himself. He loves eating!

Peter's first time using a spoon. He's eating oatmeal, his favorite breakfast food. :)

Peter learning how to eat a banana himself - no more having Mommy cut it up into small pieces!

Peter enjoying leftover restaurant chicken fingers and Ranch dipping sauce. He insisted on doing all the dipping himself!
